My New Favorite Thing

For anybody who has known me for any length of time, this post will likely surprise you.

This story begins at the end of February. When Alex and I went on our honeymoon. We had the BEST time of our lives. That is until the day we had to come home.
There we were sitting in the Miami airport waiting for our flight. We had about 18 hours until we arrived home. And let me tell you I am not sure I have been that bored in my life.
We left our computers at home, I didn't want to turn on my blackberry.
(I was entirely uninterested in paying for roaming charges)
So off I went on an adventure in the Miami airport. I ventured off to look for something to do.
I went to the little news stand very close to our gate and I found 2 things!
1. A pack of Beef Jerky
2. The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly
I have ALWAYS had a love for Beef Jerky! Reading on the other hand I have ALWAYS had a strong dislike for. But, Alas I did have 18 hours, and 3 flights between me and technology!!
I dove into that book like nobodies business....and finished it in about a week.
After that I have read 4or 5 books.
Not just ANY books. They have been eBooks.

Alex being the wonderful husband that he is bought me a Kobo eReader.
I have been LOVING it!

Here are the pros/cons if you are thinking of getting one.
 PROS:
-it is small/light weight
-you can carry hundreds if not thousands of books on it
-you can get hundreds if not thousands of books for free
-the books you can't get for free are reletively cheap
-you can't lose your page
-it is only 2oz heavier than my blackberry
-you can take it anywhere
-you can read anywhere
-the battery lasts about 2 weeks (depending of course on how much you read)
-it has wifi so you can get new books on the go (as long as you are in a hotspot)

CONS:
-You can't lend books to people after you read them and love them.
-the battery could potentially die while you are in the middle of a really good part of your book (but that is your own fault for not plugging it in!)

The only thing I dislike about MY Kobo, is that I want the NEW touch screen one!!
